Foederati is a Finnish comic book, written by Toni Karonen and drawn by Juuso Laasonen. It's a dark revenge-story taking place in the late antiquity, along the borders around Rhine. It's at the moment being translated to English and the second part is on the way.

I was hired to do the artwork for 24-page Spin-off for the comic, and this is from the panel showing how one of the main characters meets the Scourge of God, Attila the Hun.

Powerful image. As always, love your work with inks -and your work with armors!-

"If you had not committed great sins God would not have set a punishment like me upon you" (the quote was attributed to Genghis Khan, I know, but it strikes me as more appropriate to his predecessor, who was known as The Scourge of God).

I must say that this is a most formidably atmospheric piece - although one hopes we'll get a chance to see Attila pull that "CRAZY EYES" stunt which is attributed to him by the Historians in the actual comic.:) (Smile)

Now that is a terrifying image of Attila. The fact that you shadowed out his face really adds to this nightmarish scene.
